This has been revived after 30 years. Twenty-four members of the Zendomo Drum Club, made up of children from Zendomo Elementary School, revived this taiko drumming after a break of 30 years. The childen walk about 2 kilometers through the school district pulling a cart on which rides a large drum weighing about 1 tonne. A drumming perfomance is held at the Shinkai Grand Shrine (Uchida-machi) annual autumn festival. In this area there is a tradition of walking while pulling a "rain drum". This wish for a good harvest has been practiced since before World War II.
