The performance consists of 10 kasa dancers, 2 drummers, 10 drum dancers, 3 flutes, and 1 "Kane". With the kasa-odori dance in the lead, participants parade through the town and perform the dance to drive out the insects at 10 locations, then chase them away to the beach.
