This is a traditional Bon festival event passed down in the community. About 100 children parade through the town with small lanterns including lanterns of hollowed-out vegetables. They walk to welcome the ancestors during the lunar calendar Bon Festival. The parade starts at 7:30 p.m., and children in yukata (light cotton kimono) walk for about 30 minutes between houses, each holding a lantern and singing "Dandara chochin toboshita, kitsune no yomeiri itachi no nakadachi.”
