This is one of Aso's agricultural rituals, and an important intangible cultural asset of Japan. The Emorinagashi ritual is held on the 6th of August and goes from Tazuhara Shrine, to the residence of the head priest and finishes at Aso Shrine. At the end of the ceremony a traditional folk song called 'Onda Uta' is sung.
