Active
Category Name:Furyu (Musical Performances)
The gaku of Haraka Tenmangu Shrine is said to have begun as a tradition handed down by Emperor Keiko, but it is not clear when it actually began. It is played with flutes, drums, and shamisen, and consists of four tones: Juzen, Juzen-kuzushi, Shinno, and Shinno-kuzushi. Depending on the performers, it is called children's gaku, princess’ gaku, or adults’ gaku.
