Nakahara Shrine is regarded as a branch of Aso Shrine. After “Hoken” (the dedication of the sword) and “Jiken” (the second sword), “Shiken-mai” (the four-sword dance) and the Kunitsu-no-mai dance are performed. At present, the number of performances is limited due to a problem of succession, but thanks to the enthusiastic activities of the parishioners, more dancers are being trained.
