The kagura of Seigenji Tenmangu Shrine is said to have been passed down from Hazama, Tamana City to Meishigu Shrine in Kami-Okinosu in 1885, and then to Seigenji Tenmangu Shrine. The programs include Shoken (1-person dance), Mitegura (2-person dance), Niken (2-person dance), Shiken (4-person dance), Sakaki (2-person dance), Uta Kagura (1-person dance), Yumi (2-person dance), Ya (2-person dance), Kenkyu (2-person dance), and Jigata (1-person dance). It is also performed in local elementary schools as a part of local history study as an on-site workshop of the preservation society.
