It is usually performed during the autumn festivals of Oguni-Ryo Shrine and Kumanoza Shrine. It is said to have been passed down from Kyoto via Yamaga. The performers leading the parade on the day of the main festival are flute players, drummers, naginata polearm wielders, hyotan (gourd)-tsuki, and murego.
