"Nakae no Iwato Kagura" is said to have been introduced during the Meiwa era, about 250 years ago, and it is a descendant of the Ontake style Kagura handed down in Bungo-Ono City, Oita Prefecture. A total of 33 performances have been handed down, including "Amanoiwato," which is based on Japanese mythology. Regular performances are held once a month at the Nakae Kagura Hall every year from April to November.
