Category Name:Rites and Festivals (folk belief)
This is a dedication procession of Zuibyo (accompanying soldiers)" and "Kazari-uma (decorated horses)" that follow a portable shrine at the Fall Festival of Fujisaki Hachiman Shrine. Zuibyo is said to have originated in the Bunroku and Keicho periods when Kato Kiyomasa himself led 100 soldiers to the shrine’s Shinko ceremony to thank the gods for his safe return from Osaka.
