On October 21, the Mikoshi will go to the Okariya (temporary shrine), stay overnight, which is called "Okudari"- going down, and return to the main shrine on October 22, which is called "Kangyo" - returning, and "Onobori"- going up. The procession is preceded by men with traveling chests and torige (poles decorated with bird feathers) in front of the mikoshi. Drum dances, lion dances, and Kagura (Shinto music and dance) are dedicated at the time of the "Shutsugyo" (appearance of the Emperor and Empress), "Okariya", and "Kangyo".
