Hirayama Nēsan Odori (Dance)

Category Name:Furyu (FuryuStyle Dance)

Until the end of the Meiji era, the area of Hirayama was inaccessible by horse-drawn carriage. So, when a road was built to allow carriages to pass through, the whole village celebrated the joyous occasion of the new road being opened by singing and dancing to the accompaniment of shamisen and drums. And so, it became this commemorative local dance.
