It is said that this dance was handed down to the local people to thank them for their cooperation when Hougawachi Castle (a mountain castle) was built more than 450 years ago. It was discontinued after a performance at a celebration for the completion of the Houchigawa Road in 1923, but was revived in January 1978. 《Performances》Niwairi, Sanbaraku, Ningyo-ashi, Seki, Sawojiki, Jusanbe 《Performers》 leader (flag), 6 for Kane (inner circle), two singers (outer circle) 《costumes》 leaders with a straw hat, those with drums and kane wear a plow-shaped helmet.
