This dance was handed down to Tsukahara Tadakuma, a resident of the area, from a traveling performer in 1922 for the Shokon Festival. In 1932 the Builders Dance Preservation Society was established and the dance has been passed down primarily by local people. It is performed during various festivals in the town. This dance expresses the use of six types of building tools, and is accompanied by shamisen, drums, and kane.
