A summer festival with a history of hundreds of years that enshrines Koyasu Kannon, goddess of conception, childbirth, child-rearing, and good relations. The townspeople in its 15 districts compete for their skills with elaborate structures, and worshipers and spectators in yukata from inside and outside the town bustle about until the early hours.
