Aso City "Tora-mai" is called "Shish-imai" when it is dedicated to the gods, but because it is so fearsome, when performed on other occasions it is called "Tora-mai" (Tiger Dance). The Okura tiger dance has a single tiger, and the performance includes the following parts: 'Maikomi', 'Dewa', 'Tamatori' (The tiger tries to catch a ball or lure) and 'Sandantsugi' ( a tower of 3 people balancing on top of each other's shoulders.)
