An annual music and fireworks festival is held on the 15th of October at Shikkuike Shrine. The musical entertainment consists of shamisen, flute and drum. 12 music pieces are performed at the festival, 4 of which are songs with lyrics. A large number of fireworks are dedicated to the gods, of which six (Nezumi-hi, Naka-iri, Ryusei, Kasa-hi, Fukidashi and Yanagi) are traditional fireworks still produced by hand by the residents of Tsukiji. It is not known when the dedication of this music and fireworks began, but records show that they were already being performed in 1804.
