Around the middle of the Meiji Period (1868-1912), the Kagura of Oishi in Kuraoka, Gokase Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, was brought back to the Shiraishi District and danced at the "Otendou-san Festival." It ceased to exist around 1980. In 2005, a preservation society was established and the performance was revived. Currently, it is performed at the "Otendou-san Festival" held in late November at the district assembly hall.
