Category Name:Rites and Festivals (folk belief)
The shrine was built in 1388. It is said that there was a government office at this site in Nara Period, and that the district flourished around the shrine. This festival was originally for shrine parishioners. There was a custom of dedicating fireworks made by each Za which are small communities within the parish. The shrine precincts are decorated with handmade bamboo lanterns. Local women, firefighters, youth clubs, and parents of children's groups set up stalls selling homemade food. Residents enjoy dancing and singing, and the festival concludes with the dedication of fireworks and special trick fireworks.
