This religious festival is a portable shrine procession, and the order of the participants, or elements, is as follows: two Guardian Lions leading; three shiomizu; two Hasamibako -Lacquered Chests; a group of 40 displaying large parasols, bearskin pelts, and poles or spears with the ends adorned in bird feathers; 13 taiko drums; five-coloured flags; Shinsen - offerings for the gods; Masakaki - ceremonial branches of the scared Shinto evergreen; mikoshi (the portable shrine); and, lastly, the Shinto Priest.
