In 1755 the Hagiwara Levee collapsed due to a massive flood and the area was hit by a record-breaking flood. Under the leadership of Inazu Yaemon, the embankment renovation was completed in a short period of time. It is said that the performance started when people celebrated this event and dance. The lyrics tell the story from the construction of the Hagiwara Levee to its completion and the movement describes the work of building the bank.
